Loved hearing you talk about the Austermann Step yarn. I knit my DH a pair of socks from this last year and he loves them so much that he bought me TWO balls to make socks for myself. I had just cast them on when I started to listen to your podcast. Gotta have something to work on until the Ravelympics start!
Chrissy, I have to tell you that I absolutely love your podcast. I miss out on all the contests though because I always wait until I’m sitting in front of a computer before I listen to them. The way you find these etsy stores and share them is just awesome.
I was wondering though, if you’ve had a chance to look through the “artfire” site yet. My DH makes jewelry and has put some up there, but they have quite a bit of fiber goodies there too.
Thanks for all you do,
Lani in Central Oregon
BTW, was that picture taken at BSG?
I haven’t had much of a chance to look through artfire yet, but I plan to in the future.
The picture was actually taken at the Abbotsford Fibre Fest in BC.
Glad to hear you discuss Woolen Mill St Yarns on the episode. Back in the fall I fell in love with a skein of Christina’s Candy Corn colorway — http://www.ravelry.com/people/napoleon622/stash/bamboo-merino-superwash-sock. Her colors are just so vivid. Can’t wait to knit the skein into a pair of Monkey Socks!
Just getting caught up, and saw that you mentioned my shop in this episode! Thanks so much, it’s so sweet to hear your compliments. Great podcast!
P.S. That “Into the Fire” laceweight you were drooling over is going to be in the February Phat Fiber box (under a different name for the artist theme), so maybe you’ll get your hands on some there!
Loved your podcast. Am at home post surgery and am loving catching up on podcast and sewing. Thanks Eileen
I have only just discovered your wonderful podcast after a mention from the knitmore girls. So chatty and interesting. I am a beginner knitter and draw much inspiration from you-lucky girl to have been taught by a grandma! Going to go back through the archives and will send a donation when I can.
